History

The hotel has received the name from mythological beings - a griffin. The sculptures of griffins located on the Bank bridge near the hotel, for a long time steels one of symbols of Petersburg. In many legends and myths the griffin is represented as proud, brave and freedom-loving animal. In this minihotel the griffin will be the keeper of your quiet rest from vanity of the big city.

The minihotel occupies 4 and 5 floors of a historical building which has been built in 1879 under the project of architect A.K.Kejzera.

Location

Hotel "Griffin" is located in 50 m from the well-known Bank bridge and in 5 minutes of walking from the Neva prospectus, but at the same time on silent historical quay. The metro stations nearest to hotel - «the Neva prospectus» (an exit on Griboedov's channel, an exit on Mihajlovsky street), «the Hay area», "Garden".

Near to hotel such historical sights as the Cathedral of Revival Christ's, the Kazan Cathedral, Russian museum, the Hermitage are located.

Griffin has 12 cosy spacious numbers of two categories: "standard" and the "comfort", executed in classical Petersburg style. From windows of the majority of numbers the remarkable kind on Griboedov's channel opens. Numbers are executed in classical style, in the pleasant solar tones recovering not always joyful Petersburg weather.
